Recent data on Covid and its variants – Delta and Omicron - December 17, 2021
All the studies and experts point to fully vaccinated people needing their booster to be well protected from the Omicron variant which spreads faster than the Delta variant. Currently the Delta variant is more deadly, but Omicron cases are expected to increase rapidly in the next few weeks. In the spirit of love, we strongly encourage everyone to take every precaution and get your booster as soon as you are able as it has been shown to significantly increase immunity against Covid and its variants.

The following CDC guidelines will be continued or re-instituted regarding Bethany Christian Church services and our programs:
• Masks will be required and need to be worn covering the nose and mouth for all those entering the building. Masks must remain in place. (New masks will be provided at the door if needed)
• All people will be asked to use hand sanitizer provided on entering.
• 6 feet spacing between people/families inside the building & during service to reduce the chance of infection.
• Handwashing is strongly encouraged.
• If there are any signs or symptoms of a cold, headache, sore throat, fever, body aches & congestion, you are asked to stay home.
• We will resume taking temperatures at the door.
• All members are encouraged to receive vaccinations and boosters!
Sunday ‘in-person’ services at 11:00 a.m. will continue unless CDC recommends otherwise.
It is disappointing to feel like we are taking a step back, but please keep in mind that Prince Georges County Public Schools have returned to virtual learning and new measures are being instituted by state and local leaders. Our prompt response will help slow the spread of this virus among our church family and our community.
